NBR
NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) is a synthetic rubber produced by the copolymerization of acrylonitrile (ACN) and 1,3-butadiene. The properties of NBR, such as resistance to various media and flexibility at low temperatures, largely depend on the ACN ratio. The material offers good resistance to oils, greases, silicones, hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, and HFC), and aliphatic hydrocarbons (propane, butane, gasoline, and diesel). On the other hand, it exhibits low resistance to polar media, glycol-based brake fluids, superheated steam, HFD pressure fluids, ultraviolet light, and ozone. It is a highly elastic material with good deformation behavior and also features low gas permeability.
