The WAOK profile has a sealing lip without a tension spring, no additional protective lip and a rubberised, grooved outer casing. It dynamically seals rotating shafts independently of their direction of rotation. The profile is suitable for sealing grease and as a subordinate seal against dust, dirt or splash water. The sealing lip provides only limited static sealing when the shaft is stationary.
The FKM version has a temperature range of -25 to +150 °C. FKM offers good chemical resistance to mineral and synthetic oils and greases, engine oil, gearbox oil, ATF oil, fuels, HFD pressure fluids and various hydrocarbons. For contact with water, the maximum temperature is +60 °C. The material has very good resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing. The WAOK profile must be used without pressure and is suitable for a maximum peripheral speed of 6 m/s. The specified limits may not necessarily be reached simultaneously.
