The WCS profile is designed for the dynamic sealing of rotating machine components such as shafts, hubs and shaft assemblies. This design features a spring-loaded main sealing lip, an additional dust lip and a closed metal outer casing with a reinforcing plate. The dust lip helps protect the main sealing lip against moderate amounts of external dust and dirt. The rigid metal construction provides a secure and precise fit and makes the profile suitable for larger diameters and difficult installation conditions.
This version in NBR can be used within a temperature range of -40 to +80 °C, with short-term exposure up to +100 °C. The maximum specified circumferential speed of the WCS profile is 8 m/s and the maximum permissible pressure is 0.05 MPa. NBR is suitable for various mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids. The additional dust lip causes additional friction and can therefore result in increased heat generation. The maximum pressure, temperature and circumferential speed cannot necessarily be reached simultaneously.
