The Oil Seal - 28.57x50.8x6.35 - WAS - 70 NBR NB703412 - Dichtomatik - 49137936 - Packaging Unit 1 is a WAS oil seal from Dichtomatik with an inner diameter of 1, an outer diameter of 50.8 and a width of 6.35. This radial shaft seal therefore has the dimensions 28.57x50.8x6.35 and is manufactured from NBR, using compound 70 NBR NB703412. It is Dichtomatik article number 2.
The WAS profile is designed for the dynamic sealing of rotating machine components such as shafts, hubs and shaft assemblies. The main sealing lip is pressed against the shaft surface by a garter spring and the sealing function is independent of the direction of rotation. An additional dust lip limits the ingress of moderate amounts of external dust and dirt. The fully rubber-covered outer surface provides a secure fit and supports static sealing in the housing bore.
This version in NBR can be used within a temperature range of -40 to +80 °C, with short-term exposure up to +100 °C. The maximum specified circumferential speed of the WAS profile is 8 m/s and the maximum permissible pressure is 0.05 MPa. NBR is suitable for various mineral oils, greases and hydraulic fluids. The material has low resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing, which should be considered when selecting the seal. The maximum pressure, temperature and circumferential speed cannot necessarily be reached simultaneously.
