In the food industry, guide bands are a frequently used sealing element for absorbing lateral forces in machines. The special profiling of the Guivex guides ensures that the transverse load exerted is optimally distributed over the entire length of the guide element. The lack of stress peaks at the edges also improves the pull-in of the lubricant in the area between the guide and the mating face. Freudenberg has developed a patented laminated fabric guide for its guide bands. This means bent piston rods in long stroke cylinders, insufficient lubrication on short strokes or tilting piston rods with a short guide distance are a thing of the past.
