The Oil Seal - 18x32x8 - WAD - 70 NBR NB703412 - Dichtomatik - 67019583 - Packaging Unit 1 is a WAD oil seal from Dichtomatik with an inside diameter of 18 mm, an outside diameter of 32 mm and a width of 8 mm. The overall dimensions are 18x32x8. The oil seal is manufactured from NBR, using compound 70 NBR NB703412. It is Dichtomatik article number 67019583.
The WAD profile is a double-acting radial shaft seal with two opposed sealing lips. Both sealing lips are pressed against the shaft by tension springs and are primarily used to keep two different media separated. The profile has no separate protective lip. The fully rubberized outer jacket ensures a tight fit and static seal in the housing bore. Its sealing function is independent of the direction of rotation and it also provides a good static seal at standstill. The space between the sealing lips can be filled with approximately 40% grease during installation.
The NBR version is suitable for temperatures from -40 to +80 °C and for short-term exposure up to +100 °C. The maximum pressure is 0.03 MPa and the maximum peripheral speed is 6 m/s. NBR offers good resistance to various mineral oils and greases (H, HL and HLP), HFA and HFB fluids, HFC up to approximately +50 °C and water up to a maximum of +60 °C. Its resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing is low. The material must be suitable for the media on both sides of the seal. The specified maximum values may not all be reached at the same time.
