Please note that there is limited static sealing on the outer casing for low-viscosity and gaseous media. An additional dust lip (B2...SL) can be added for extra protection against moderate to moderately heavy dust and dirt ingress. However, it's important to be aware that this may lead to some temperature increase due to frictional heat.
B2 Simmerrings feature a machined metal outer casing, a metal insert, spring-loaded sealing lip, and an additional dust lip. These seals find their application in demanding heavy industrial environments, such as cranes and gearboxes with calendar rolls.
