These seals find a wide range of applications in every industry sector. They are ideal for larger dimensions and for use with coarse fits in the mating bore. However, please note that there is limited static sealing on the outer casing for low-viscosity and gaseous media. An additional dust lip (B2...SL) can be added for extra sealing against moderate to moderately heavy dust and dirt ingress. Please be aware that this may lead to a temperature increase due to frictional heat.
The B2SL Simmerrings feature a machined metal outer casing, a metal insert, a spring-loaded sealing lip, and an extra dust lip. They are commonly used in heavy industrial environments, such as cranes and gearboxes for calendar rolls.
