An additional dust lip (BA...SL) can be added for extra sealing against moderate and moderately heavy dust and dirt from the outside. Note: this can lead to a temperature increase due to frictional heat.
The BA Simmerrings feature an outer elastomer sleeve (smooth or grooved = X7), a spring-loaded sealing lip, and an extra dust lip. They are suitable for applications such as shafts (under moderate contamination), electrical tools, and industrial gearboxes.
