USIT rings are metal flat seals with an internally or externally vulcanized, trapezoidal, rubber-elastic sealing bead for static sealing of screw and flange connections. They are mostly used in the manufacturing industry, but also in the food and pharmaceutical sector. USIT rings are used where high sealing tightness is required, high pressure levels are present and a secure seal must be ensured.
The USIT rings are characterized by their high performance and ease of installation while still providing maximum sealing. The sealing bead of the USIT rings ensures a secure, self-reinforcing seal, even under the most challenging conditions, such as high pressure levels.
USIT has developed ring Hygienic USIT for the challenging needs of the process industry. Unlike normal USIT rings, these are EHEDG compliant and ensure that no germs or biofilms can form such as bacterial colonies or corrosion under the bolt head. This ensures a hygienic design.
The metal flat seals provide a reliable seal without dead space. For applications with particularly aggressive CIP/SIP cleaning and high steam sterilization temperatures, as well as process media with a fat content, the fluorinated premium compound uses Fluoroprene XP 45 material. As a result, the V-Ring can also be used at even higher temperatures and is also resistant to polar and non-polar media and to odorous substances.
