Chevron seals can be used for many applications, for example they can be used in heavy industries or the supply of spare parts to legacy installations. These are used for the safe and reliable sealing of piston rods and pistons to ensure leak free operation. Thanks to their robustness, the multi-part seals are ideal for use in heavily loaded, heavy and horizontal presses, for example in industrial presses, scrap shears, large cylinders and hydraulic cylinders. The sealing sets can be used for pistons that are under pressure on one or both sides, even when piston rods or pistons can no longer be guided properly due to wear. The multi-part sealing sets have been tested under the most extreme conditions.

The multi-part seal sets consist of a thrust ring, one or more chevron seals and a backup ring. Depending on the type, they can be installed in adjustable and non-adjustable seal chambers with constant axial preload. As a result, the chevron seals are optimally adapted to the respective application and function for a certain period of time, even on poorer surfaces. The V-pack - Chevron seal technology has existed for a long time, and other major seal suppliers also manufacture Chevron Sets, including Garlock, James Walker, Telleborg, Hallite, and Kastas.
