A Speedi Sleeve is easy to install on an existing shaft. However, careful handling during installation is essential to achieve optimal results.Step 1: Preparation
Thoroughly clean the shaft and remove any rough spots or burrs using fine sandpaper. Irregularities can cause leaks due to the thin wall of the sleeve.
Step 2: Measuring the Shaft
Once the shaft is clean and any rough spots have been removed, measure the shaft diameter. Be sure to measure an unworn section to obtain the correct size. Then, select the appropriate Speedi Sleeve based on the shaft diameter. A repair sleeve that is too small or too large will not function properly. 
Step 3: Installing the Sleeve
Carefully slide the sleeve over the shaft and place the installation tool (driving cap) on top. Tap it evenly to secure the sleeve in place. It is crucial to ensure that the sleeve is positioned straight and does not become misaligned. 
Step 4: Finishing
In some applications, the flange, also known as the installation flange, may be obstructive. If necessary, it can be removed by carefully making a notch in the sleeve and then cutting it off.

Do Not Heat the Sleeve
Many people assume that heating the sleeve will make installation easier. However, high temperatures can deform the thin material, compromising the fit and effectiveness of the sleeve.
